La Spaziale is an Italian company founded in 1969 by a passionate team of coffee lovers. Since their founding, they’ve had much success, with appliances ranking at the top of their class worldwide. More impressively, this company has been an official coffee equipment supplier for barista competitions since 2006.
In this review, we’ll go over the La Spaziale S1 Mini Vivaldi 2. This machine is said to offer big machine performance in a small package! Keep reading to learn if it lives up to the hype.
La Spaziale doesn’t really scream ‘for home use.’ After all, its appliances are used all over the world by professional baristas. However, the Spaziale S1 Mini is used worldwide by individuals like you and me. With a size of 15” (H) x 16.50” (W) x 16.50” (D), it fits nicely on any countertop. The water tank is also located at the front of the machine, unlike most machines on the market, making it ideal if you have a cabinet overhead.
Several factors make this espresso machine praiseworthy. Here are just a few that we’ve noticed since using this machine:
Our team enjoyed making countless specialty drinks with the La Spaziale S1 Mini. From double shots of espresso to cortados, it’s a machine we plan to keep around. For best results, don’t use store-bought grounds. We grounded fresh coffee beans using our Breville machine and then tamped the coffee. Trust us – you’ll notice a significant difference by grounding your own coffee.
We cannot emphasize enough how easy the La Spaziale Mini Vivaldi 2 was to use. Even if you’re a beginner, we can’t imagine you struggling to operate this machine.
To use, simply navigate the 5 button interface. The first button is for hot water; then you have your single and double shot buttons, which are programmable. The fourth turns the boiler on and off, while the fifth is the on/off button.
The steam, hot water, and micro-foam buttons are all so easy to use and access. The steam valve has a lever with an instant on/off function. It’s equipped with hot water spigots that can be accessed with the touch of a button. Even at its small size, it produced excellent micro-foam. The process is so easy – a huge benefit for beginners and advanced users alike.
The final product? A nice crema that looks just as great as it tastes!
We highly recommend the La Spaziale S1 Mini Vivaldi II if you’re looking for a portable espresso maker with double boilers. It does require a 20 amp service for both boilers to heat at the same time. If your home has a 15 amp service, the group head boiler will take precedence over the steam boiler. It still heats up fairly quickly, so it won’t have you waiting for long!
This compact espresso machine is worth having in your kitchen, but don’t take our word for it. Try it for yourself today!
