Jura has been providing high-end kitchen appliances since 1931. They are a Swiss company that continues to provide luxury appliances for residential and commercial settings. We’ve enjoyed reviewing several of their appliances, such as the Jura A1 Super Automatic Coffee Maker.

This review will go over what we thought about the Jura A1 and if it’s worth the hype. If you’re curious to know if it’s worth the investment, read on!

Who is the Jura A1 Coffee Machine For?

The Jura A1 doesn’t offer any heating or milk frothing functions, making it a great choice for black coffee drinkers. If you’re someone who enjoys espresso at the touch of the button, you’re in for a sweet surprise with this coffee maker. And, since it doesn’t have a milk frothing system, you’ll find it’s much more compact than other Jura models.

Easy to use, sleek, and compact, you’ll have no problem waking up in the mornings with this hot appliance.

What Makes The Jura A1 Special?

While the Jura A1 is compact, it sure is mighty. Our team found that this appliance operates at an impressive power rating of 120V with 1450W. It’s controlled through the use of buttons without any complicated features. You can expect a simple interface with 3 programmable sizes. You can choose between three specialties: espresso, coffee, and ristretto. If you’re looking for a cappuccino or latte, this is not the machine for you.

Moreover, Jura is well-known for its Pulse Extraction Process (PEP). This feature automatically upgrades the taste of coffee by pulsing hot water through the coffee grounds. The multi-level aroma burr grinder also works wonders by grinding whole beans quickly and evenly. We found it did a wonderful job creating a flavorful cup of joe with a fully preserved aroma.

Not only will you obtain a compact machine with a powerful 15 bar pressure pump, but when you’re done using it, cleaning is a breeze. After a total of 180 preparations or 80 switch-on rinses, you’ll be notified it’s time for a cleaning service.

Why Should I Buy the Jura A1 Coffee Maker?

The Jura A1 Automatic Coffee Maker has a minimalist design. You’ll enjoy the piano black color with silver accents that sits perfectly on any kitchen countertop. When you’re done using it, this coffee maker enters energy-saving mode after five minutes of inactivity. This is perfect to avoid higher than usual energy bills and also in case you accidentally leave it one when running out the door.

We did notice that while this is the most compact of all Jura coffee machines, it is still a bit heavy (20 pounds). We always recommend having a place in mind for any appliance prior to purchasing it. It is on the smaller side, so you could easily store it away in a cabinet. However, we like having it out on the countertop since it’s an appliance that our team uses daily.

The Jura A1 comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee as well as a 2-year warranty.

Our Verdict

The Jura A1 Coffee Machine model is not as expensive as its Jura counterparts. This is mainly due to the fact it doesn’t include any advanced features or a milk frothing system. However, it’s easy to use, clean, has an auto shut-off feature, integrated burr grinder, PEP, among other benefits.

Overall, we were pleased with the Jura A1 and know you will be too. Try it for yourself today!
