It also offers 40mm conical burrs that deliver consistent grinds. These can be adjusted to as many as 40 separate settings – ideal if you want espresso or French press. While it doesn’t have as many settings as professional grinders, the Virtuoso Plus offers a professional feel thanks to its weight and a nickel-plated metal top finish.
The Baratza Virtuoso+ has a powerful motor. Our team was quite impressed by the quiet operation. If you’re someone that wakes up early in the morning to brew coffee, your household guests will appreciate the quietness of this grinder.
This grinder also offers a simple operation. If you’re a beginner, you’ll enjoy how easy it is to use. Our team tinkered with the machine, but if you don’t want to, just use it on the standard 450 rpm speed with the 40 grind setting. If you’re a more advanced user, feel free to adjust the rotation speed or grinding time. You can go anywhere from 405 rpm to 495.

The Baratza Virtuoso+ exceeded our expectations for being a mid-level grinder. It offers consistent grinding and a total of 40 settings. We did notice that our beans burned when using it at the highest rpm. This led to bitter, subpar brews. A solution to this is using a lower setting or not running it for too long when using the highest rpm.
Other than this, we were pleased with the Baratza Virtuoso and recommend it to you if you’re looking for a durable Baratza grinder. It’s an excellent option for drip coffee or French Press.
